Day 4 - Favorite television program

This is an EASY one!

Ready for it?

Are you sure?

I think you are.

Here goes:

For those who don’t know, I would like to make a brief introduction of Doctor Who. Doctor Who is a British sci-fi TV show created by the BBC and is the longest running TV show in history, dating all the way back to 1963 with the first incarnation of the Doctor. The reign of the 10th Doctor has recently ended and the 11th has taken his place at center stage.

But who
is the Doctor, you ask? The Doctor is a 906-year-old Time Lord, a race of beings who have the ability to travel to a different time, planet, or galaxy as fast as it takes us to walk to a different room. They can also regenerate and heal their bodies of fatal wounds, giving them a supremely long life-span. The Doctor is the last of his kind following The Great Time War, the worst of all Time Wars, in which his planet and people were utterly destroyed – as well as many others.

Now the Doctor travels all around the world in his TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space), restless and without a home, helping other races and civilizations when he can.

Here's a clip from an episode in season 3 when the Doctor (the 10th, David Tennant) tells his companion, Martha, about his planet, Gallifrey.

I could show you more clips but I'd be here all day posting clip after clip after clip!  You're just gonna have to go and watch it for yourself!  I suggest beginning with the 2005 season, starting with the episode "Rose."  It'll take forever if you start with some of the ones before then :P  I still haven't finished watching all the old ones...haha.
